Job Summary:

DT Professional Services is seeking a Federal Contract Specialist who has a deep understanding of the federal contract process to join our team! This position will serve as the point of contact for our clients and work directly with government contract representatives. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, ability to multi-task and has exceptional organizational skills. This is a remote position and requires an estimated 10% travel per year.

Responsibilities: 

  • Willing to effectively multitask, be proficient with Federal contracting, and demonstrate outstanding communication skills so that they can interface with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Review contract terms and conditions; advise management of contractual rights/obligations and mitigate contractual/program risks; maintain contract files; work within a cross functional team to develop and submit proposals and administer contracts.
  • This position interfaces with customers during contract pre-proposal, negotiation, administration, and closeout; serves as primary point of contact for resolution of customer issues; and develops and maintains customer relationships.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of contract data entry into various systems, monitor data updates, resolve discrepancies related to contract documents, and ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain effective customer relationships based on professionalism, responsiveness, and ethical conduct.
  • Work in a team environment with customers and peers.
  • This position is an individual contributor role that is expected to be a key advisor to management on any contractual issues and plan for resolution and mitigate risk.
  • Prepare, redline, and finalize NDAs and TAs consistent with company policies.
  • Review and prepare responses to requests for proposals, requests for quotes, requests for information and similar competitive bid documents from potential and existing customers.
  • Monitor assigned contracts portfolios (to include pipeline and contract performance) to identify risk areas and opportunities to maximize revenue creation and retention.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Business Administration, Program Management, Accounting, or related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Experience in Federal contracting.
  • Experience working with and in-depth knowledge of FAR, DFAR and other government regulations.
  • Experience with multiple contract types such as CPFF, FFP, FFP-LOE, T&M, OTA.
  • Be able and willing to solve challenges; able to work with minimal direction and supervision; proactive, not reactive.
  • Be involved at the outset and throughout the development of new business arrangements and opportunities.
  • Exercise sound business judgment.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent spoken, written communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • DAWIA Certification in Contracting (Level II or higher), FAC-C (Level II or higher), or NCMA CFCM certification preferred.


The compensation for this position: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00
