Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking a Data Manager who will be responsible for courier runs for the retrieval of data onboard U.S. Naval ships and transporting the data back to NSWC Corona in Norco, CA. The Data Manager will also be required to transfer data via a secure network located at NSWC Corona to and from other locations within the U.S. Navy structure. You will be riding & maneuvering around on U.S. Navy ships to obtain critical mission related data, and be expected to travel approximately 30% of the time. An active Secret Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to meet U.S. Naval vessels at various locations both CONUS and OCONUS with the purpose of retrieving operational data and transporting the same back to NSWC Corona.
  • Must be able travel for extended periods of time in support of Naval events. Travel could be required for up to 4 weeks depending on the schedule and requirements of the event.
  • Ability to climb up & down ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, sit, and maneuver around U.S. Navy ships
  • Interaction with a variety of personnel at all levels and across various departments (Project Leads, Branch Heads, Division Heads, etc) for upcoming events at various sites.
  • Perform work that includes the collection, reproduction, handling, distribution and archival of mission data and documentation.
  • Will manage the timely receipt of mission related data products.
  • Demonstrate the ability to receive, verify, and reproduce test event data items per the established plans.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have an active DoD issued Secret Clearance
  • Ability to travel domestic or internationally up to 4 weeks 1-3 times annually 
  • 1+ years of professional experience in a data management capacity within a data processing work environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office products, database entry and computers
  • Experience creating and executing data handling plans
  • Highly organized with an eye for detail
  • Ability to quickly learn technical information
  • Excellent communication skills with a variety of personnel at all levels and across various departments
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail, memory of patterns, and interest in problem-solving
  • Knowledgeable of the MS Office suite of applications
  • Ability to lift 40 to 80 pounds with ease to transport equipment to and from U.S. Naval vessels
  • Passport may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of U.S Navy shipboard protocol
  • Operating System – Windows

The compensation for this position: $27.00 an hour.
