Job Summary:

DT Professional Services is seeking a System Administrator to provide enterprise-level support for Microsoft Windows Server Datacenter and Azure Government Cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows infrastructure, Azure services, STIG compliance and secure cloud operations. This is a fully remote role, and requires an active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide routine maintenance, installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, break-fix, data protection, and vulnerability remediation for Microsoft Windows Server Datacenter 2022 or later (Standard and Enterprise editions) in Azure Government Cloud across multiple US Gov regions.
  • Scale and maintain maintain Windows Server Datacenter builds, deploy virtual machines, and support hybrid cloud environments between on-premise systems and Azure services. Manage VMs, servers, clusters, redundant and highly available infrastructures, and Windows PCs.
  • Maintain and support Active Directory, Domain Controllers, DNS, Group Policy, and all Windows patching requirements.
  • Ensure DISA STIG compliance across all Windows systems by completing checklists, using DISA SCAP tools or Navy eVALUATE STIG tools, identifying vulnerabilities, and performing remediation to maintain compliance standards
  • Administer and maintain Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for update distribution and installation across NAVFAC CSM.
  • Manage information and directory services within Microsoft Active Directory environments.
  • Provision, configure, and maintain Azure Dedicated Hosts and Host Groups to support hardware-isolated IL2/IL4/IL5 workloads, including virtual machine deployments.
  • Configure, scale, and maintain Azure Backup, Recovery Services Vaults, managed snapshots, and other approved solutions to support data protection, disaster recovery, compliance, business continuity, and cost optimization
  • Configure and maintain Azure Hybrid Benefits for Windows Servers.
  • Perform RMF Steps 1–6 in support of NAVFAC CSM packages to meet ATO timelines.
  • Support SCCA control implementation, routine patching, and ongoing STIG compliance activities.
  • Manage POA&M entries to ensure vulnerabilities are tracked, mitigated, and resolved.
  • Conduct continuous monitoring in alignment with the approved System Level Continuous Monitoring (SLCM) strategy.
  • Review ACAS scan results, update POA&Ms, and ensure vulnerabilities are documented and remediated in accordance with DoD and DON standards
  • Provide and maintain required Hardware and Software Assessment Build-Out Sheets, updating them after environmental changes or annually.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a System Administrator, Windows Administrator, Cloud Administrator, or similar role supporting enterprise or DoD environments
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server Datacenter 2022 or later, including installation, configuration, patching, troubleshooting, and sustainment.
  • Experience administering Active Directory, Domain Controllers, DNS, Group Policy, and Windows patching workflows.
  • Experience managing Azure Government Cloud environments, including virtual machine deployment, scaling, clustering, and hybrid cloud operations
  • Proficiency with DISA STIGs, SCAP toolsets, eVALUATE STIG, and vulnerability remediation in DoD environments.
  • Experience with RMF Steps 1–6, ATO packages, POA&M management, and continuous monitoring requirements.
  • Familiarity with WSUS management for patch distribution.
  • Experience using ACAS or equivalent vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Ability to deploy and maintain Azure Backup, Recovery Services Vaults, managed snapshots, and related cloud-based DR/BC solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, compliance requirements, and DoD security guidelines.
  • Ability to analyze, document, and maintain hardware/software inventories and configuration baselines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • DoD 8570/8140 certifications such as Security+ CE, CASP+, CISSP, CEH, CCSP, or equivalent.
  • Microsoft or Azure certifications such as:
    • AZ-104: Azure Administrator
    • AZ-500: Azure Security Engineer
    • SC-300 or SC-400
    • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator
  • Experience working with Azure Dedicated Hosts and IL2/IL4/IL5 workload isolation.
  • Experience managing hyper-converged infrastructures (HCI) or clustered server environments.
  • Familiarity with SCCA controls and secure cloud architecture frameworks.
  • Experience supporting Navy, NAVFAC, DISA, or other DoD organizations.
  • Strong documentation skills, including system diagrams, assessments, build sheets, and compliance reports.
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud migrations or modernization efforts within government environments.

The compensation range for this position: $105,000.00 - 135,000.00
